80% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot, 10% Bonamico grapes

Winemaking and refining

Grapes are manually harvested in boxes. Vinified in stainless steel tanks between 18 and 22 C° for 15 days. After the alcoholic fermentation it rests on fine lees for ageing to facilitate malolactic fermentation and is then moved in concrete tanks.

Wine description

The “Poggio alla Farnia” Chianti is a bright purple red wine. It exudes fuity notes  of cherry, red currant, plum and prune with hints of violet and spices. Fresh on the palate, savory with smooth tannins and licorice and red fruit aftertaste. Very drinkable Chianti with an excellent minerality and long finish.
